Post Production Producer
The Post Production Producer at Princess Bento plays a key role in the studio, overseeing the entire post-production pipeline across our projects. This position requires close collaboration with key stakeholders, including production partners, broadcasters, and distributors.
Your role will involve overseeing the post-production requirements for an individual production, managing resources effectively and facilitating collaboration among team members to bring the series to life. Your management and organisation will be instrumental in ensuring the success of the project.
Areas of Accountability
Post Production Workflow Management
- Liaise with production teams to establish and implement best practice workflows from production to post-production.
- Work closely with the Head of Production, series-specific Producers, and Line Producers to communicate pipeline specifics and deadlines.
- Manage the Post Coordinator/s and Post Supervisor/s on specific productions and their workflow.
- Oversee and manage the entire post-production pipeline on a project, including deliverables, masters, and tracking of final fixes, additional elements, and versions.
- Break down all deliverables required by the network/distributor and create a checklist for tracking.
- Determine the production stage for each deliverable and assign responsibility for textless scenes, key artwork, credits, music cue sheets, post-production scripts, cast lists, crew lists, and crew contracts.
Scheduling and Coordination
- Schedule and manage all stages of post-production, ensuring the timely collection and filing of necessary materials.
- Oversee the creation and provision of textless scenes, confirming guidelines with networks/distributors.
- Ensure relevant coordinator/s and supervisor/s adhere to deadlines for final feedback and checks with key creatives or networks.
- Follow up on any final legal matters/paperwork and ensure delivery items like subcontractor agreements are properly saved and sent.
- Oversee results of the Harding Test, ensuring all necessary fixes to pass are achieved, and ensuring all parties are informed and approvals are obtained.
- Oversee the coordination of music, working closely with the composer and music licensing (if applicable).
- Oversee episodic delivery to audio post for sound design and mix, and manage communication with the audio engineer based on feedback/issues.
- Oversee the delivery of stems and distribute them accordingly.
- Oversee the dispatch of all elements (picture, sound, textless) to mastering.
- Oversee the dispatch of episodes to closed caption services and post-production script services, checking and approving the delivery of items and then file materials for delivery once received.
- Oversee the archiving and manage final delivery of the production.
Skills/Experience
- Top-tier production management skills in 2D Animation, Live Action TV or related fields.
- Experience in delivering content to global streamers, domestic and international broadcasters and post production houses.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace Suite and Shotgrid (highly desirable).
- Operational management, including an understanding of the project management of large productions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring that the necessary information is flowing across the departments, within the Production and to clients.
- Client relationship development and management at the most senior levels.
